In the sport of 3gun/Multigun, the ability to manipulate and swiftly discern and engage targets at both distance and close-up with corresponding speed is must in order to be successful. As members and former members of the US Military, our day jobs (to differing extents) required us to be proficient on different types of platforms. Some individuals have decided to take that to another level. In this sport where speed and accuracy are both necessary, it requires the competitor to spend an immense amount of time maintaining gear as well as mastering the manipulation of all his platforms. As cool as the picture above looks, there’s a reason why its called multigun…

Devil Dogs love their firepower. Ron Fuchs knows this ain’t your daddy’s pump action shotgun and he’s totally cool with it.

The shotgun side of multigun is more than just hitting clay pigeons out of the sky. Don’t get me wrong, we shoot trap and skeet as well and enjoy it. But 3gun/multigun shotgun is more than just that. 100+ yard targets with slugs, shooting buck and birdshot on the same timed stage, and hitting arrays of moving steel targets is all part of the game. Its one thing to control a good ol’ scattergun for 1 or 2 shots. We’re talking 19 round shotguns on 40 round stages. Conventional wisdom dictates that you may need to reload. Also, not all divisions require you to shoot a decepticon of a shotgun like Ron up there. You can use a pump or a semi-auto tube shotgun. But sometimes, you just gotta send it.

On to our 3rd platform…

This Marine and Former Anti-Tank Missileman went from hitting smaller targets but at similar distances. Lee Weinstein is the living definition of “Jack-of-all trades master of MORE than one.” He can outshoot a LOT of people EVEN with a revolver.

Yes, the dreaded pistol is part of this. From up close hosing on paper, to 10 inch steel arrays at 25, to 200 yard shots in with a pistol for some reason #wisconsin, you can’t escape the ability to shoot pistol in 3gun/multigun. Like my previous statement, you may have to do weird stuff. So you better be training for it.

Overall, the action shooting sports attracts a lot of individuals from all sorts of backgrounds. Military included. Everyone has their reasons for doing it ranging from practice of the fundamentals to the sheer enjoyment and adrenaline rush of competition and the sound of the buzzer.

If you are interested in getting in on this stuff, send us a message and we’ll help get you started. In the end, wins are great, but having fun is the ultimate goal. See someone in a jersey? Say hi!

Also, I’m going to show off some of our competitors in this sport. Enjoy the stats!
